This cohort program provides strategies to help you and others flourish at work along with opportunities for practice and discussion of current challenges with colleagues from across campus.

Start with Strengths

Invest in yourself by enrolling in Start with Strengths, CLOC’s 2-hour virtual introductory CliftonStrengths program. This interactive session helps you identify your strengths and leverage them to accomplish goals, collaborate with others, and flourish at work.

Strengths in Action

Once you’ve completed a Start with Strengths session, you can deepen your understanding and application through our Strengths in Action experiences. These group sessions help you name, claim, and aim your strengths for personal and professional success.

Thrive Thursday

Join us for FREE 90-minute interactive learning sessions that build your knowledge and skills and help you improve your own and others’ experiences at work.

One Month to….Navigating Difficult Conversations

If you work with other people, there will inevitably be times when you struggle in your interactions with someone, need to address a disagreement, give or receive tough feedback, or initiate a challenging conversation. The ability to navigate these difficult conversations is important in maintaining successful working relationships. Get the help you need in preparing for, initiating, and learning strategies for having effective conversations by attending this four-part virtual series.


Opportunities for supervisors and leaders

Excellence in Supervision Program

To advance fearlessly forward, the University is investing in the growth and development of its supervisors to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to create positive work experiences and environments as well as foster growth, success, care, and inclusive excellence.

Excellence in Supervision (EIS) is recommended for all supervisors. Whether you supervise students, faculty, or staff, this program is for you! It is required for those newly taking on supervisory responsibilities.

The Foundations level opens campus wide in February 2025.

The Intermediate level will be available in June 2025.

Team Expectation Setting Session

How does your team collaborate? How and when do you share information, resolve conflicts, communicate, or make decisions? By collaboratively creating a shared set of team expectations, everyone can better understand how they will work together.
