Supervisor Support and Development
The best supervisors maximize the potential of those they supervise. Additionally, research from Gallup reports “a staggering 70% of the variation between great workplace engagement and lousy workplace engagement can be explained just by the quality of the manager or team leader”.
If you supervise one or hundreds of employees, CLOC can help you hone your skills to bring out the best in your group.
Continuous learning is what brings meaning to our lives and focus to our work. When we continually develop our skills and refresh our knowledge and attitudes, we approach each day of work more purposefully and effectively. CLOC provides developmental opportunities for faculty and staff across our campus to refresh, recharge, and reengage.
Coaching is an opportunity to step away from your day-to-day work pressures to focus on yourself and how you can be your best self and do your best work. CLOC provides confidential, one-on-one coaching to faculty and staff members who wish to become more confident and effective in their work and life.
Provide Custom Solutions
Team building is an over-used term that can describe a superficial process. Team development does not use off-the-shelf team building activities or games; we won't ask you to fall back into each other's arms or sing "Kumbaya." Our process is customized to build effectiveness by advancing a team from where they are to where they need to be.
The CLOC approach to conflict management is grounded in developing common understanding through encouraging courageous conversations. We help participants identify root causes and then move toward resolution using an exploratory and and trust-building approach. CLOC consultants strive to move people's energy in a positive, constructive direction.
Good retreats happen through careful design and facilitation. When facilitated by skilled and neutral professionals, it is possible for everyone to participate and benefit, including the group leader.
